In Springfield and Greencastle--4/8 & 4/9

4/8—A quiet day in Springfield. Norb and Dennis working on creating levelers for the RV from wood, with bolts to allow them to be lower (and higher). The only other RV-related activity is loading water in the RV. We park on the main street and need 3 hoses to get the water to the RV but we get the tank half full before the rains chase us inside. It will do.

4/9—No rush. Leisurely breakfast, time for visiting. It’s 10 Indiana time before we leave. We check in with our next stop—Whitney and Jack Morrill in Greencastle, IN. We had planned to spend 2 days at Brown County State Park, but looking at the map we discover that our route will take us through Greencastle. It’s a great opportunity to see Whitney and Jack so Norb has called to see if we can meet them for lunch. They invite us to stay overnight; we confer; we decide ‘yes’. So we call, tell them to have lunch, we’ll stop on the way and see them around 2:30 PM. We arrive a few minutes before 2, visit a bit, go for a hike at the quarry, have dinner with them and Judy Aikman, visit some more. I go to bed at 9:30 EDT, Norb stays up another hour talking.
